The Lisbon warehouse district was the place to be Wednesday night as conference guests converged on hot spot Kais. There was something for everyone - dinner, dancing and the European Championship Football Leage title game between Manchester United and Chelsea. With an indoor waterfall, thousands of candles and olive trees throughout the building, the venue was unique and the atmosphere was electric, especially as the action of the game heated up. It was a great celebration and perfect end to a day packed with informative sessions, networking opportunities and best-practice exchanges.

Romania’s largest company is embracing IT Service Management. Elizabeth Borup explained to delegates at BMC UserWorld how Petrom is integrating people, processes, policy and technology to spearhead growth. |  | | France Telecom Sees 91% Productivity Improvement
France Telecom presented a compelling argument for BladeLogic, calling it one of the most successful IT projects ever undertaken across the France Telecom Group. France Telecom's Bruno Gabillet told conference guests about its automation of the management of tens of thousands of servers. Today, 9,000 servers in France are managed with BladeLogic, and a further 5,000 servers internationally also rely on BladeLogic. In places, the company is seeing a 91% improvement in productivity. And, BladeLogic has helped cut VM provisioning from 22 days to less than two days—and helped eliminate the sprawl of clones and images that required manual management. | | | | |

BMC's visionary CTO Tom Bishop took centre stage during the day's breakout sessions on Tuesday. Tom treated delegates to compelling insight into how BMC is transforming customers’ virtualised worlds. The key take-away was that BSM solutions from BMC enable customers to quickly roll out new services, meet compliance regulations, and gain control of their emerging virtual world.
